The Norwegian Epic will be NCL's largest ship to date featuring innovative accommodations, the first ice bar at sea, 20 dining choices and an expansive water park.
Norwegian Cruise Line’s largest cruise ship, the Norwegian Epic, will make her inaugural voyage in June 2010. The Epic will feature many industry firsts in accommodation, dining, and entertainment options. NCL’s Biggest Cruise ShipSize of Norwegian Epic – The Norwegian Epic will be 153,000 Gross Registered Tons (GRT) carrying 4,200 passengers and 1,690 crew members. Largest Villas Complex – Located on two private decks at the top of the ship, these villas are only accessible by private elevator. The Villas Complex features a secluded courtyard area with private pool, hot tubs, gym, sauna, sun deck and exclusive dining areas, such as the Epic Club. Dining Choices – Along with a couple of traditional dining rooms, the Norwegian Epic also features choices such as Wasabi (sushi/sake bar), Spiegel Tent (entertainment dining), Teppanyaki (Japanese Habachi), La Cucina (Italian), Shanghai (Chinese American), Cagney’s Steakhouse and Epic Club (a private indoor dining room for Villa Courtyard guests). Innovative Features on Norwegian EpicSpa – Norwegian Cruise Lines is one of the only cruise lines that offers Botox to their guests in their onboard spas. They also offer teeth whitening, acupuncture, and a number of other spa treatments. The NCL Epic will also offer spa staterooms and suites. Suites will feature a circular bed, luxury bathtub and mood lighting. Ice Bar – The Norwegian Epic will feature the first ice bar at sea. Guests don a faux fur coat and sip vodka in a chilly bar made from ice. Even the walls and stools are made from ice. The pools illuminate at night and feature five hot tubs, a wading pool, a kid’s pool and water sprays. Bowling Alley at Sea – The Norwegian Epic features opportunities to bowl at sea. Although during the day all ages can play, at night, Bliss Lounge becomes an adults-only bowling alley with illuminated neon balls. Studio Suites – These tiny, modern suites are value-priced but feature exclusive access to the Living Room, a shared lounge with a 50” TV, WiFi and a full bar.
